The wild cherry tree in our garden has started to bloom. I posted
the story about this cherry in June 2014. We are entering in the height of spring. The wild cherry, which is also called mountain cherry in Japanese, has a characteristic of flowering with leaves as contrasted with an ordinary cherry 'Somei-Yoshino', which is the most popular variety of cherry in Japan and flowers densely without leaves. I love this wild cherry very much. In a week it will be in full bloom.

この木についての話は昨年の6月に書いています。野生の桜で、山桜と呼ばれる桜は葉の成長と一緒に花が咲くことが特徴で、日本でもっともふつうにみられる花だけがびっしり咲くソメイヨシノとは対照的です。私はこの山桜が大好きです。一週間ほどで満開になるでしょう。）
